Mt Lawley SHS – STEM Building

Project Description:

Commissioned as part of the W.A. state governments election commitment, the two-storey building is purposely designed and built to provide opportunities for students in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). The new addition to the school includes a state-of-the-art engineering workshop, two science laboratories and two general purpose classrooms. Students will be able to gain access to the latest technologies and facilities from the start of the 2021 school year.

Associated Airconditioning Involvement:

Associated Air-conditioning has provided the building with a high capacity VRF A/C system to service its various rooms. This system was specifically chosen by our head engineer in an effort to balance flexibility and energy efficiency for this large scale variable building. Moreover as this is a specialised facility, we have also installed fume cupboards and hoods, welding arms, plasma and laser cutting exhausts, along with the usual and standard toilet and general-air exhausts.

Project:

Located in Belmont, the existing Intercity Hotel has undergone major refurbishments which also included a 3 storey extension. Associated Airconditioning installed a VRF air conditioning system, toilet exhausts and outside air. The outside air is supplied via ductwork to the various rooms on all levels, with each room fitted with a fan coil unit to the entrance and air flow via grilles.

Project:

Shenton College occupies the site of the former Lemnos Hospital, with areas now refurbished into various learning areas. In conjunction with Firm Constructions, Associated Airconditioning provided VRF systems and ventilation to the general learning areas, common rooms and kitchen. These buildings have been established as a heritage listed building and as such, no changes have been made to the building itself. Associated Airconditioning had to redirect pipework and power cables to suit the building structure and conform to Heritage Council requirements.

The new year 7 block is air conditioned by ducted split systems which circulate treated air to all the classrooms. Various fans provide toilet exhaust, general exhaust and outside air.

Project:

Schneider Head Office is a top class technologically advanced building situated in Harris Road, Malaga. The building has been fitted with a Variable Refrigerant Flow System along with different exhaust fans servicing all kitchen and toilet areas. The building is monitored by a Schneider state of the art Building Management System. The stores have been fitted with ventilation systems and all toilets are ducted to a roof fan.

Project:

The T Block refurbishment included chilled and heated water lines from the main hospital ring main, air handling units providing treated air via a series of ductwork and VAV boxes.

The general exhaust fans provide exhaust from various areas in the building. Fabric ductwork has been provided in the main open office area and the perimeter is serviced by regular GSS ducts.

Project Description:

A custom built project to provide students with a range of areas to experience and practice scientifically-based wellbeing pathways. The building was custom designed and built, providing contemporary, flexible spaces for a range of purposes including: Meditation rooms, creative arts, cardio and movement rooms, dedicated nutrition pod, modern changing rooms and alternative learning areas.

Associated Airconditioning Involvement:

The works included new air conditioning systems servicing the various classrooms, studios and offices along with ventilation for the car park and a refrigerated cool room to the food preparation area on the ground floor.

Associated Airconditioning was pleased to be a part of such an innovative project.

Project Description:

A modern tavern complex incorporating an industrial look with high quality finishes including polished concrete floors, designer stone details and appealing outdoor area. The complex includes a drive through bottle shop, full service restaurant, tavern and alfresco area.

Associated Airconditioning Involvement:

Associated Airconditioning installed Temperzone roof top and ducted splits for the air conditioning of the new Vale Tavern in Beeliar.

The kitchen area was supplied with a Bonaire evaporative cooler which is linked to the kitchen exhaust fan.  A general exhaust and evaporative cooler were installed in the Bottle Shop. Other areas like toilets and kitchens have been supplied with ventilation fans which are commonly located on the roof. In the kitchen, Associated Airconditioning installed a main exhaust hood and dishwasher hood. These are both connected to roof mounted exhaust fans.

Project Description:

Redevelopment of the 1897 built heritage-listed hotel into a seven storey, 4.5 star hotel; including 73 new or refurbished hotel rooms, a new dining area, cocktail and public bar and private function rooms.

Associated Airconditioning Involvement:

Associated Airconditioning completed the air conditioning and ventilation works at the newly refurbished Melbourne Hotel in March 2018. The hotel is air conditioned via a series of VRF systems which are all connected to a main central controller which controls the entire operation of mechanical systems including the AC and Ventilation. Associated Airconditioning was proud to be involved in the redevelopment of such an iconic Perth landmark.

Project:

Ronald McDonald Houses are attached to hospitals and provide a home away from home for seriously ill children and their families while undergoing treatment for serious illnesses.

Associated Airconditioning provided the complex with chilled and heated water, heat exchangers, air handling units and fan coil units which have been installed in different locations throughout the building.

Chilled water and heated water is reticulated along the building levels and provides cooling and heating to the Air Handling Plant. Kitchen exhausts are installed in the main kitchen and the different level kitchenettes, while the carpark exhaust system ventilates the carpark 24/7.

Project:

The ECU Engineering Pavilion (Building 27) was built to service the growing demand for engineering workshop/laboratory space within the campus.

The Engineering Pavilion is a single storey building comprising a range of air conditioning units and a compressed air system which circulates throughout the various laboratories providing air pressure to all the equipment. Along with this Associated Airconditioning supplied and installed fume cupboard exhaust and toilet exhausts.

Project Description:

The State Government’s Perth City Link project built to transform the connection between the CBD and Northbridge. The development includes the construction of a flagship public space incorporating retail outlets, market hall, bars, café, green spaces and play areas.

Associated Airconditioning Involvement:

Yagan Square has been provided with condenser water loops for all the air conditioning requirements. A dual system including heat exchange and pumps are delivering the required water consumption between the main circuit and cooling towers.

Some tenancies have been provided with air conditioning while other tenancies have the ability to add air conditioning in the future. All tenancies are provided with kitchen exhausts connected to inline fans. All common areas are provided with supplementary outside air and some with general exhaust.

Yagan Square is sure to become one of Perth’s favourite meeting places for food, entertainment and community events.
